Janaka Aithe Ganaka is Suhas’s latest film, which is quite special in his career as it was produced by none other than star producer Dil Raju. The film is a social drama made on a very low budget by Dil Raju and his team. Janaka Aithe Ganaka was postponed twice and finally hit the screens on September 7, 2024, with very low promotion.

Unfortunately, Janaka Aithe Ganaka ended up as a big flop at the box office. According to trade reports, Janaka Aithe Ganaka needed to make at least Rs 4 crore to break even, but it only made Rs 2 crore in its theatrical run and was out of theaters after just a week.

This shows how poorly the film was received by critics and audiences alike. Harshith Reddy and Dil Raju's daughter, Hansita Reddy, co-produced this film on a minimal budget. Sangeerthana plays the female lead and fits the role of a wife who is innocent and wants children to complete the family.

Suhas plays the main character, a middle-class employee who does not want children due to his low income. However, he is shocked when his wife announces her pregnancy. Upset by this, Suhas files a case against the condom company for not doing its job properly. While the comedy worked in bits and pieces, the emotional aspects of the film failed to connect.

The failure of Janaka Aithe Ganaka suggests that Suhas’s films tend to perform better on OTT platforms and struggle to find an audience in theaters. In the coming days, it will be interesting to see how he handles his career. He had high hopes for Janaka Aithe Ganaka, but the film didn’t help him advance his career.

For now, he has four more films in the making, in which he is playing interesting roles. Those who missed Janaka Aithe Ganaka in theaters can catch it on Aha on November 8, 2024. Stay tuned for more updates on this project.
