About House of the Dragon

House of the Dragon is the prequel to the uber-popular web series, Game of Thrones. The same is a part of George R. R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire franchise. It is based on his book, Fire & Blood. The show is set 200 years before Game of Thrones takes place. In this, one can witness the ‘war of succession’ more popularly known as the ‘Dance of the Dragons.’

What is coming in season 2?

The Dance of the Dragons is on and it is time to choose. King Aegon's Green Council and Queen Rhaenyra's Black Council battle it out to claim the Iron throne, after conquering the Westeros throne.

The show marks the return of Rhys Ifans, Sonoya Mizuno, Fabien Frankel, Olivia Cooke, Emma D'Arcy, Eve Best, Steve Toussaint, and Tom Glynn-Carney. Harry Collett, Bethany Antonia, Jefferson Hall, Matthew Needham, and Phoebe Campbell also make a comeback. Among the newer faces are Alyn of Hull (Abubakar Salim), Alys Rivers (Gayle Rankin), Ser Gwayne Hightower (Freddie Fox), Ser Simon Strong (Simon Russell Beale), Addam of Hull (Clark Liberty), Ser Alfred Broome (Jamie Kenna), Hugh (Kieran Bew), Tom Bennett (Ulf), Lord Cregan Stark (Tom Taylor), and Ser Rickard Thorne (Vincent Regan).

Season 3 of the show has been greenlit and from the early spill, there will be more war and bloodshed. Of course, dragons will also be involved.
