In November of the previous year, Mobile Masala learned that Hemanth M Rao had arranged a screening of his production, Agnyathvasi, for a prominent network. The results of this screening were not disclosed at that time; however, recent promotional materials suggest that it may have been successful. As the film approaches its theatrical release on April 11, 2025, it has secured a satellite and digital distribution partner.

Agnyathavasi satellite and digital rights bagged by Zee

Zee Network has acquired the satellite and digital rights for Agnyathvasi. Directed by Janardhan Chikkanna, known for Gultoo, the film will be available on Zee Kannada and Zee5 following its theatrical run. During the trailer launch, Hemanth mentioned that he postponed the release of Agnyathvasi for over a year due to unfavorable conditions for theatrical releases and other business considerations, including post-theatrical rights.

Whether the current environment is more conducive to a successful theatrical release will soon be determined when the film debuts and audience reactions begin to circulate. There is certainly a level of excitement among a dedicated audience that closely follows Hemanth's projects, as well as Janardhan's, particularly due to the positive reviews of Gultoo. Janardhan's subsequent film, the comedy Powder, did not perform well at the box office. However, with existing OTT and TV agreements—details of which are still undisclosed—any revenue generated from the theatrical release could be considered an additional benefit.

Agnyathavasi features Rangayana Raghu in the lead role, alongside Ravishankar Gowda, Pavana Gowda, Siddu Moolimani, Sharath Lohithashwa, and Arvind Kuplikar.
