Agatha All Along: Is Jonathan Majors a part of Kathryn Hahn’s show even after his firing from MCU? Here's the truth

We are now moving on to the next Marvel Cinematic Universe project after Deadpool and Wolverine as the studio heads into a new phase, exploring its upcoming projects and special presentations. We’re talking about Agatha All Along, a show starring Kathryn Hahn, which is set to release on Disney+ Hotstar this coming Wednesday with the first two episodes. While there has been much speculation surrounding the show, a past rumor suggested that Jonathan Majors, as a Kang variant, was part of it. However, after Majors was found guilty, things changed. But does he still have a role to play in this latest MCU show? Let’s find out.
Jonathan Majors in Agatha All Along?
For the unversed, Jonathan Majors was introduced as He Who Remains in Loki and later called himself Kang the Conqueror in Ant-Man & The Wasp: Quantumania. He was subsequently seen in Loki season 2. However, while he was poised to be the next big bad and was even set to have an Avengers film named after him, Majors faced assault charges and was found guilty. This led to the studio cutting all ties with him, firing him from his role as Kang, and replacing him with Robert Downey Jr., who is now set to portray Doctor Doom.
Rumors suggested that Majors had already shot scenes for Agatha All Along in which he was supposed to play the Kang variant, Immortus. This rumor came from scooper ExiledScoop3r, who claimed Majors shot these scenes in 2023, right after the release of Ant-Man 3. However, after his guilty verdict and arrest, the studio reportedly scrapped these plans. There is no official confirmation on whether these scenes were actually filmed.
What is certain, however, is that Jonathan Majors will not appear as Kang in Agatha All Along. The studio has made a clear effort to distance itself from him, and rumors suggest he will not be involved in any capacity moving forward. It has even been mentioned that his final scene, where Doctor Doom eradicates Kang to take over as the main villain of the Multiverse Saga, will not include Majors. Therefore, there is no chance he will appear in the Kathryn Hahn-led show.
About Agatha All Along
As you may already know, Agatha All Along picks up where WandaVision left off. WandaVision, starring Elizabeth Olsen, depicted Wanda Maximoff’s transformation into the Scarlet Witch. In the finale, Agatha Harkness was left under a spell by Scarlet Witch, trapped in Westview. Agatha All Along will show the breaking of that spell, leading Agatha on a journey to regain her powers.
According to the latest update, Agatha All Along will premiere on Disney+ Hotstar with two episodes on September 18, 2024. The show will then release one episode every Wednesday until October 30, 2024, coinciding with Halloween. To conclude Kathryn Hahn’s series on the spookiest day of the year, the makers will release the penultimate and finale episodes—the 8th and 9th episodes, which are said to form a two-part finale—on October 30.
