Aditya Dhar will helm the next film starring Ranveer Singh, Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, Akshaye Khanna, and Arjun Rampal, produced by Jio Studios and B62 Studios'. The official announcement of the film took place on Saturday, July 27. A black-and-white photo featuring the aforementioned five actors generated considerable buzz on social media. The film began shooting last week, on July 25.

Speculations about the film's theme

Rumours suggest that the film is an action thriller, set in a bygone era and set against the backdrop of geopolitical tensions between India and Pakistan, despite the press release not explicitly stating this. Rumours quickly circulated that Ranveer will portray a younger version of Ajit Doval, who is now India's national security advisor.

Bollywood Hungama has learned that Ranveer will not be playing Doval, even though the film will touch upon his life. A source told the entertainment portal that it is R. Madhavan who plays the coveted part. This is something the actor is really looking forward to because he'll be sporting a fresh new appearance in the movie. He is, as usual, pouring his soul into this character. Be on the lookout for it, the creators say with certainty.

The source did not reveal the man's identity or the character's inspiration, Ajit Doval. Furthermore, little is known about Ranveer Singh's character.

Aditya Dhar has featured Ajit Doval in two of his films; this is the second. Ajit Doval inspired Paresh Rawal's character, Govind Bhardwaj, in Uri: The Surgical Strike.

Filming schedule

The report suggests that the film will capture the story in various locations. Following a filming schedule in Canada, the crew anticipates arriving in Mumbai. Filming will begin in Thailand.

While Sanjay Dutt will play the villain, the report went on to say that Arjun Rampal and Akshaye Khanna will all be playing fellow intelligence officials.

Contrary to popular belief, the official press release does not refer to the film as Dhurandhar. Right now, the film doesn't have a title. The producers are Jio Studios' Jyoti Deshpande, B62 Studios' Lokesh Dhar, and Jio Studios' Aditya Dhar.
