Tovino Thomas is currently focused on promoting L2 Empuraan, featuring Mohanlal and directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran. This film is the second installment in the Lucifer series, and Tovino will reprise his role as Jathin Ramdas when it hits theaters this week. Following L2E, the Minnal Murali actor has another movie lined up for a May release. He stars in Narivetta, which also features Suraj Venjaramoodu and Cheran.

Tovino Thomas leads the cast of Narivetta, which is scheduled to hit theaters on May 16, 2025. The release date has been officially announced by the team on social media. Directed by Anuraj Manohar, the film is now in post-production. 

A recently unveiled poster features the main actors Tovino, Suraj Venjaramoodu, and Cheran dressed in police uniforms. Interestingly, the three of them look quite gloomy and dejected.

Tovino Thomas leads the cast in this film, which marks the Malayalam debut of Tamil actor and filmmaker Cheran, who takes on the role of R Keshavadas, a police officer. Suraj Venjaramoodu, previously recognized for his comedic performances, also joins the cast as another cop named Basheer Ahammed. The film also features Aarya Salim, Priyamvada Krishnan, and Rini Udayakumar.

Directed by Anuraj Manohar, who made his debut with the film Ishq, featuring Shane Nigam and Ann Sheetal, Narivetta is set to be an exciting addition to the Malayalam cinema scene. 

Abin Joseph, known for his short stories in Malayalam, is making his debut in film scripting with this project. The film is supported by Tippu Shah and Shiyas Hassan, featuring music composed by Jakes Bejoy, cinematography by Vijay, and editing by Shameer Muhammed. While details about the storyline are scarce, it's said that Narivetta draws inspiration from true events.

Tovino Thomas and Suraj Venjaramoodu are both featured in the much-awaited film Empuraan, scheduled to hit theaters globally on March 27, 2025. Tovino previously appeared in the 2019 movie Lucifer, while this marks Suraj's first role in the Lucifer trilogy with its second part.

Additionally, Suraj will be making his debut in Tamil cinema with Veera Dheera Sooran: Part 2, which is also set to premiere on March 27.
