Abhishek Bachchan has been hard at work promoting his new movie, Be Happy. In this film, he plays a single dad to his daughter, portrayed by Inayat Verma. It's set to debut on Amazon Prime Video, and it's directed by Remo D'Souza, hitting screens on March 14, 2025. While promoting the film, Abhishek opened up about his time working with Remo. When he was asked whether he likes Remo more as a director or a choreographer, he definitely leaned towards the director side.

Abhishek Bachchan talks about collaborating with Remo D'Souza

Abhishek Bachchan shared with Times of India that he really likes Remo D'Souza as a filmmaker, mainly because he finds him quite challenging as a choreographer. The actor explained the differences in Remo's approach when directing compared to when he's choreographing.

"Working with him as a choreographer can be pretty tough. He tends to create really intricate moves and prefers long takes—though thankfully, that wasn't the case in this film. But as a director, he's fantastic. I think actors really get that. It takes a lot of skill to keep your choreographer instincts from affecting your directing," Abhishek shared.

The Bollywood star pointed out that choreography is a technical role where you have to stick to a rhythm while creating moves. He feels this limits flexibility. "But when Remo directs, you don’t see any of that rigidity. He allows actors the time and freedom they need. I can't recall him ever coming to the set and saying, 'This is my shot, stay within these lines,'" he continued.

Be Happy is all about embracing joy and positivity in life

Remo D'Souza is at the helm of Be Happy, which tells the touching tale of Shiv, a devoted single dad who goes above and beyond to help his gifted daughter chase her dreams. The cast includes Johny Lever, Nora Fatehi, Nassar, and Harleen Sethi. Recently, Jr Bachchan's dad, the iconic Amitabh Bachchan, shared his insights on the film.

Such a charming story! Abhishek, you've done an incredible job bringing the character to life across different films. Sending you blessings and love!
