Aay is Jr NTR, Narne Nithin's latest film, which hit the screens on August 15, 2024, along with two other biggies, Mr. Bachchan and Double Ismart. Despite having unknown faces, Aay has taken off to a great start at the box office. With each passing day, the occupancy for the film is getting better.

Aay's OTT platform locked

On the other hand, Netflix's OTT rights to the film have been bagged for a whopping price. The news in the film circles is that Aay will premiere on Netflix in the third week of September 2024. Anji directed Aay, and Allu Arjun's home banner, Geetha Arts, bankrolled this film on a very low budget.

The film is about a software engineer who is rejected by a girl who states that the boy is not from her caste. Rajkumar Kasireddy plays one of the supporting characters in the film, and his performance is one of the biggest highlights. Bunny Vas produced the movie, and he has made sure that it gets a lot of attention.

The special aspect of the release is that the makers did not air a single show on the morning of the film's release. They did this as two other biggies, Double Ismart, and Mr. Bachchan, were carrying a positive report.

Only when the euphoria of those films subsided did the makers release the movie with a 4 PM show, which worked in the big time's favor. As the public talk for both films was not that great, the concentration shifted to Aay.

Now that it is a long weekend, occupancy will grow big time. The news in film circles is also that Jr NTR is likely to attend one of the promotional events, which will give the film a new buzz at the box office. For now, Netflix has bagged the OTT rights to the film for a fancy price.
