The upcoming Malayalam movie Rifle Club's makers have officially announced that filming is completed. On their social media accounts, the cast and crew of the action drama also shared pictures of this. Additionally, the movie's Onam release this year has been confirmed. A poster featuring the whole cast of the movie was used to announce the news.
Rifle Club to release in Onam season
Presumably, the movie will be released on theatres on September 12 or 13. If so, Rifle Club will be running in theatres along with Mammootty’s Bazooka, Mohanlal’s Barroz and Tovino Thomas’ Ajayante Randam Moshanam. With Aashiq Abu directing, Rifle Club should provide a novel plot and a distinctive cinematic experience, given his previous works. It is also expected to be a full-blown action entertainer, according to sources.
Cast of Aashiq Abu’s Rifle Club
According to earlier reports, Soubin Shahir and Dileesh Pothan would be starring in this film. In March, the actors' information was shared in a motion poster by the director and the cast. However, there was no mention of Soubin, leading to rumours that the actor had abandoned the project.
The most recent Instagram photos of actresses Surabhi Lakshmi and Unnimaya Prasad have started rumours about who will be in Aashiq Abu's upcoming movie. In the pictures, Darshana Rajendran can be seen posing with the actors. The caption reads, "Rifle Club strong bonds!" Movie enthusiasts are now curious as to whether the young actress will play a significant part in this production. However, Darshana's role in the action drama has not been officially announced by the producers. Aashiq and Darshana previously collaborated on the 2021 anthology film Aanum Pennum.
The supporting cast includes Hanumankind, The Baby Jean, Vishnu Agasthya, Surabhi Lakshmi, Ramzan Muhammad, Vijayaraghavan, Prasanth Alexander and Unnimaya Prasad. The film's antagonist will be portrayed by renowned Bollywood director Anurag Kashyap, the producers have confirmed. This movie will mark the director's debut in Malayalam.
