Aamir Khan has been shooting for Sitaare Zameen Par for a while now. The film, which RS Prasanna is directing, is an adaptation of the 2018 Spanish film, Campeones. The perfectionist of Bollywood will be sharing screen space with Genelia Deshmukh in the film. For a while now, it has been speculated that Sitaare Zameen Par will be released during Christmas 2024. However, there was no confirmation from the makers yet. That said, the film's co-producer Ravi Bhagchandka has now addressed the release date rumours of Sitaare Zameen Par.

Sitaare Zameen Par's release date is locked?

In an interview with Mid-Day, when Sitaare Zameen Par co-producer Ravi Bhagchandka was asked about the film's release, he said 'It's too early to take a call'. Recalling the time he saw the Spanish original Campeones at the Berlin Film Festival, Ravi added, "At the Berlin Film Festival 2018, I saw the film’s trailer at the market. It was a sharp trailer. The next day, I went to the screening and liked the film."

He further revealed Aamir Khan liked the script of Sitaare Zameen Par when he read it. In fact, Ravi himself said it was a 'crackling story' and that's why he bought the film's rights soon.

In the same conversation, Ravi Bhagchandka praised Aamir Khan and said the actor's eye for detail is fantastic. The Sitaare Zameen Par co-producer said Khan makes things stand out in th e story, which probably doesn't register with anyone else when they read. "He can tell the same story, but with a fresh takeaway," added Bhagchandka.

Meanwhile, Aamir's last theatrical release was Laal Singh Chaddha. The film, directed by Advait Chandan, failed to work wonders at the box office. Khan had reunited with Kareena Kapoor Khan and Mona Singh for the movie after 3 Idiots. LSC was the Hindi adaptation of Tom Hanks' project Forrest Gump.

That said, Aamir's last production venture Laapataa Ladies earned critical acclaim.
