According to the latest buzz, director Lokesh Kanagaraj and his crew are set to begin the next filming phase in Jaipur, Rajasthan, in just a few days. The Laal Singh Chaddha star is expected to shoot his scenes alongside the iconic superstar during this Jaipur schedule.

Rajinikanth and Lokesh Kanagaraj initially had plans to collaborate on a fantasy film where the superstar would take on a villainous role. This ambitious project was set to be filmed entirely with IMAX cameras but was ultimately put on hold due to its grand scale and lengthy production timelines. The producers and Rajinikanth wanted to wrap up their next film in just six months. Eventually, Lokesh pitched a new story idea to Rajinikanth, which turned into Coolie.

Coolie is being described as a dark thriller, featuring Rajinikanth as the lead character, Deva. Alongside the superstar and Aamir Khan, the film boasts a stellar cast that includes Nagarjuna Akkineni, Sathyaraj, Upendra, Soubin Shahir, and Shruti Haasan in key roles. In a recent chat with The Hollywood Reporter, Lokesh confirmed that every actor has a well-developed character in the movie.
