Loveyapa serves as the silver screen debut for both Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor. Directed by Advait Chandan, the narrative centres on the characters portrayed by Khushi Kapoor and Junaid Khan, who are eager to marry. Their contemporary love story takes an unforeseen twist when the bride's father dares them to exchange their phones for a duration of 24 hours. In anticipation of the film's release, the director has revealed that Aamir Khan will make a cameo appearance in his son's project.

Aamir Khan's cameo in Loveyapa

In a recent discussion with Bollywood Hungama, director Advait Chandan disclosed that Aamir Khan is set to make a cameo in his son Junaid Khan's debut film, which also features Khushi Kapoor. 

"He does appear. He is present for two shots. When you view the film, you will certainly notice him," Chandan affirmed.

The director acknowledged his initial uncertainty regarding the casting of Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor in Loveyapa. 

He expressed to the portal, "My concern was that I was uncertain about the suitability of Junaid and Khushi for their roles. I had never previously met Khushi, and I was doubtful whether Junaid would be an appropriate choice for the part." However, after engaging with them during rehearsals and readings, he developed confidence in their talents.

Chandan also commended Khan and Kapoor for their professionalism on set, stating, "Junaid is quite distinct from his character Gucci. He had to exert considerable effort to uncover the Gaurav within him."

Loveyapa on OTT

According to media sources, the film is expected to be available for streaming on Disney+ Hotstar following its theatrical release. However, an official confirmation regarding Loveyapa's OTT debut is still pending.

In a discussion with Indian Express, Junaid Khan shared his desire to have his film Loveyapa available on YouTube, allowing everyone to view it at no cost.

"I aspire for our film to reach the broadest audience possible. If it were solely up to me, I would prefer to release it on YouTube for free access. However, that may not be a feasible option. Our producers and distributors possess significant expertise in this area and have a more comprehensive understanding of how to maximize the film's reach—whether through theatres, OTT platforms, or television," he stated.

In the meantime, Loveyapa is scheduled to premiere in theatres on February 7, 2025.
