Directed by Rajiv Rai, Tridev hit the silver screen on July 7, 1989. The action-thriller, which was co-written by Rai, has completed 35 years since its theatrical release. Starring Sunny Deol, Jackie Shroff, and Naseeruddin Shah in the lead roles, Tridev was a blockbuster hit at the box office. It was the third-highest-grossing movie of 1989. Where to watch Tridev on OTT?

If you missed watching Tridev on the big screen, fret not. The Rajiv Rai directorial is available for streaming on ZEE5 (and OTTplay Premium). The film, produced by Gulshan Rai, had the music by Kalyanji-Anandji and Viju Shah. On the other hand, Romesh Bhalla worked as a cinematographer for Tridev while Naresh Malhotra worked on the edit of this 1989 film.

For the uninitiated, the star cast of Tridev also included Anupam Kher, Sonam Khan, Sangeeta Bijlani, the late Amrish Puri, and Madhuri Dixit Nene. In this movie, Naseeruddin Shah was seen as Jai Singh while Sunny played the role of Inspector Karan Saxena. As for Jackie Shroff, the actor essayed the character of Ravi Mathur.

Talking about Madhuri Dixit, she was seen as Divya Mathur and Sangeeta Bijlani played the character of Natasha Tejani. The late Amrish Puri portrayed the part of Bhairav Singh / Bhujang. Coming to Anupam Kher, the actor was Commissioner Mathur in the film. 

When Chunky Panday turned down Tridev

Earlier, in an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Chunky Panday revealed the reason he turned down Tridev's offer. "I wish I had done Tridev, people were throwing money on the screen and I was under my seat crying ‘ki yeh kya ho gaya mujhse (What have I done)?’ I was doing a shoot in Ooty at that time and didn’t have dates, thankfully Rajiv Rai took me in his next film, Vishwatma," he said.
