In this film, senior actress Rekha essayed the character of the industrialist's daughter, Varsha Sahay. As for Saif Ali Khan, he portrayed the role of a young man named Raja.

As per the streaming platform, Udaan's plot was centered around industrialist Mr Sahay's life. He ran a business that dealt with making tonics for small children. Upon realizing that the production has been going down, Mr Sahay tries to figure out the underlying problem and uplift his business. Sahay eventually learns that his business partners Mr. Sethi, Mr. Sood, and Mr. Rana have been trying to sell drug-induced tonics. This is followed by Sahay's murder, which is portrayed as a natural death by a heart attack.
