Ankita Lokhande pens a heartfelt note as Pavitra Rishta completes 15 years
To celebrate the anniversary, Ankita Lokhande also took to her social media account and remembered the late actor, Sushant Singh Rajput. She also thanked him for mentoring her through the process. Sharing pictures of several scenes from the show, she wrote, “15 years ago, I started my journey as Archana in Pavitra Rishta. Little did I know that even after years, I will continue to get so much love for my role, which has even become my identity. I sometimes feel I was destined to be Archana. I had her in me, and I continue to have her in me. She has taught me a lot about life.”
She further added that she is forever indebted to the show's producer Ekta Kapoor and her production house Balaji Telefilms for giving her a role lifetime during the start of her career. She added, Main rahoon ya na rahoon, the love I have received, Archana and Pavitra Rishta has received from each one of you will keep me alive forever in your hearts, and I don’t think there’s anything more precious than that.”

She then recalled Sushant Singh Rajput's contribution to her career and wrote that her journey would have been incomplete if she did not have the late actor's support. She wrote, "I didn’t even know how to act when I started Pavitra Rishta. He taught me, and I will always be thankful for him. The show started a new kind of storytelling. Hindi television par Marathi culture ko dikhaya. Isse pehle kabhi koi aisa show aaya nahi tha. People could resonate with the show because of the innocence the show and the people involved in it had.”
For the uninitiated, Sushant Singh Rajput made his acting debut with the TV show Kis Desh Mein Hain Mera Dil. However, Pavitra Rishta was his first big break as a lead actor. He then started working in Bollywood films and became popular for his versatility and acting skills. The actor passed away on 14th June 2020 at the age of 34.
