Magadheera, the 2009 Telugu film, co-written and helmed by filmmaker SS Rajamouli, has completed 15 years since it first released. The romantic fantasy film, which was made in true-blue Rajamouli style, is available on Aha and OTTplay Premium, if you would like to stream the film.

Maghadeera is a romantic fantasy action film starring actors Ram Charan and Kajal Aggarwal in the lead roles. The film is directed by SS Rajamouli, who co-wrote it along with V Vijayendra Prasad. The film explores the themes of reincarnation and eternal love. At the time of its release in 2009, Magadheera was one of the most expensive films to have been made. Reportedly, it was made on a budget of Rs 35–44 crore and became a commercially successful and critically acclaimed film.

The film bagged several awards, including two National Film Awards at the 57th National Film Awards. Magadheera won Best Choreography and Best Special Effects awards.

The film is set between the present and past timelines, and revolves around a bond between a warrior and princess which returns to the modern age to connect the reincarnated lovers once again. However, a sinister force from the past once again stands as an obstacle for their love.
Apart from Ram Charan and Kajal Aggarwal, the film also stars Dev Gill, Srihari, Sunil, Sarath Babu and others. Magadheera was remade in Odia as Megha Sabarire Asiba Pheri, and in Bengali as Yoddha: The Warrior.
Backed by Allu Aravind under Geetha Arts, Magadheera was one of the earlier films of Rajamouli which paved way for the director to become one of the notable voices of the Telugu film industry. He soon went on to give blockbuster films like Baabubali and RRR, which earned world recognition as well.
