1000 Babies, the upcoming web series marks the OTT debut of senior actor, Rahman. The series, directed by Najeem Koya, reportedly revolves around a mass infanticide case that happens at a suburban hospital. Neena Gupta, the veteran Bollywood actress is making a comeback to the Malayalam film industry after a long gap of 32 years with the series, which is slated to be released on Disney+ Hotstar, in October 2024.

1000 Babies OTT release date is out

As per the latest updates, 1000 Babies is gearing up to have its OTT release on Disney+ Hotstar, on October 18, 2024. The crime thriller series, headlined by Rahman and Neena Gupta is expected to be available for streaming on the platform, from midnight on Friday, October 18. The recently released 1000 Babies official trailer also confirmed that the Najeem Koya directorial will be available for streaming in seven languages, including Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Marathi, Bengali, and Hindi.

1000 Babies: Meet the cast and crew

Rahman, the 80’s heartthrob is making his grand debut in the OTT space, with the upcoming Najeem Koya directorial. The senior actor reportedly appears in the role of a skilled police officer, who investigates a mass infanticide that happened in a suburban hospital. Neena Gupta appears in the role of Sarah, a mysterious elderly woman who mostly spends her time alone, scribbling in her diary. The senior actress last appeared in Malayalam in the 1992-released Mohanlal starrer, Aham.

1000 Babies features a massive star cast including Ashwin Kumar, Adil Ibrahim, Shaju Sreedhar, Sanju Sivaram, Irshad Ali, Joy Mathew, VKP, Manu M Lal, Shalu Rahim, Sirajudheen Nazar, Dain Davis, Radhika Radhakrishnan, Vivia Shanth, Nazlin, Dileep Menon, Dhanesh Anand, Srikant Murali, Sreekanth Balachandran, and Radha Gomaty, in supporting roles. Sankar Sharma composes the songs and original score. Faiz Siddik and Johnkutty handle the cinematography and editing, respectively. 1000 Babies is produced by Shaji Nadesan and Arya, under the banner August Cinema.
