2024 has proven to be a moderate year for Tamil cinema; however, Sivakarthikeyan's film Amaran has made a significant impact, achieving notable box office success. Directed by Rajkumar Perisamy, the filmmaker recently celebrated the film's milestone of 100 days with a heartfelt post.

In the post, Rajkumar shared a photograph with renowned director Mani Ratnam and expressed his emotions in a touching message. He acknowledged that it was the Thug Life director who inspired his passion for filmmaking, stating, "As we approach #100DaysOfAmaran, I want to express my gratitude to you, Mani sir. You ignited my dreams of cinema and captivated me with the art of filmmaking. You were the first person I aspired to photograph, and I managed to do so in 2005, though I regret losing that picture. It took me twenty years and two films to gather the courage to take another with you. From admiring your posters to standing beside you, I am left speechless. Thank you for your unwavering support for #Amaran and for me. I will always be grateful to you, #Maniratnam sir.”
