To celebrate the film's 10th anniversary, the producers, Swapna Cinema, who also made their production debut with this film, hosted a small gathering. During the event, director Nag Ashwin shared an intriguing story, revealing that he had initially pitched two other concepts to producers Swapna and Priyanka Dutt, both of which were declined.

"After my first two ideas were rejected, I presented Yevade Subramanyam somewhat hesitantly, but they embraced it and gave me the go-ahead," Ashwin recounted.

The film holds personal importance for Nag Ashwin, as he developed a romantic relationship with Priyanka Dutt during its production, culminating in their marriage following the film's release. As the film celebrates its 10th anniversary, Ashwin has revealed plans for a theatrical re-release on March 21, 2025.

He remarked, "The theme was progressive for its time, and Yevade Subramanyam will resonate even more with contemporary audiences. It is likely to draw a significant number of young viewers."
