Vicky took to his official Instagram account and shared a still from Sam Bahadur. The Bollywood actor acknowledged the honor of playing Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw's role in the Meghna Gulzar film.

"One of the biggest honours for me as an actor has been the opportunity to play FM Sam Manekshaw. Thank you meghnagulzar ronnie.screwvala .1yearofSamBahadur (sic)," he captioned the post. On The Great Indian Kapil Show, Vicky Kaushal opened up about portraying Sam Manekshaw's role on the big screen. The actor revealed he met the Field Marshal's daughter Maya to know more about him.

"Even when I was playing Sam Bahadur, I met his daughter Maya a few times to understand how he walked, how he spoke. Then we were shooting in Delhi. I have hardly been nervous in front of the camera, but because Sam Bahadur’s daughter was watching the shot from behind the camera, I was very scared," shared Vicky.
