Vetrimaaran's Viduthalai Part 2 serves as a direct continuation of his successful 2023 film, Viduthalai Part 1. This installment represents the second part of a two-part adaptation of Jeyamohan's short story, Thunaivan. The narrative centers on the struggles faced by a police constable in his confrontation with the head of a separatist organization. Soori returns to portray Constable Kumaresan, while Vijay takes on the role of Perumal ‘Vaathiyaar’, the leader of Makkal Padai, and Manju plays his spouse, Mahalakshmi.
