Superstar Rajinikanth's latest movie 'Vettayan: The Hunter' produced by Lyca Productions head Subhaskaran has released in theaters worldwide today. The film is directed by TJ Gnanavel of 'Jai Bheem' fame. This is the latest film starring Kollywood superstar Rajinikanth, who made a killing at the box office last year with the movie 'Jailor'. After Jailer, Lal Salaam, Superstar Rajinikanth's new film 'Vettayan'. Gyan Vel, who grabbed everyone's attention with Jai Bheem movie, directed this action thriller. Along with Rajini, star actors like Amitabh Bachchan, Daggubati Rana, Manju Warrier, Fahadh Faasil, Ritika Singh, Dusara Vijayan are part of this movie. As the teaser and trailer were interesting, a positive buzz was created about this movie before its release. And the song 'Manasilayo', in which Manju Warrier and Rajini's steps are still trending. Amid huge expectations, this Pan India movie has released today (October-10, 2024) in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Kannada languages. Apart from Tamil Nadu, Rajinikanth has a superstar craze in Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi as well. There is no need to introduce himself. Even at the age of 73, he is acting in movies without dope. Rajini Vettayan, who showed his potential in the film industry with Jailer, came up with the film. As Jaibheem is directed by Gnanavel, the expectations have doubled. Also, Anirudh Ravichander also gave music with his magic and took the movie to another level? Or? Let's find out.
Analysis: On one side is Amitabh Bachchan who sees fair punishments for the bad guys who commit serious crimes and on the other side is the hero who is a policeman who prepares to encounter injustice if it seems to cross the line. A serious case becomes a challenge for them. What happened after that is a movie. First off starts a bit slow but from Rajini's entry, the flow of the movie increases like that, after reaching the point of the actual story, the story takes a serious turn and the story progresses interestingly. The first off is fine, but after the excellent interval episode, the second off story starts interestingly and some scenes feel repetitive and a little drag. Even so...again from the pre-climax it is impressive and overall the pre-climax and climax episodes end impressively and no matter the time the movie ends, it feels like you can watch it once. Rajini's heroism, elevations.. Anirudh's background score has been highlighted once again, so we can say that the range of the film will be based on how the regular audience will receive the film even though it has the stuff that fans want and also has a serious subject. Overall, it was a first off average...second of average to above average level, but the movie also seemed to be above average level...compared to Jailer, it is a bit high, but the content is good, so it is easy to watch once. Superstar Rajinikanth's film means his heroism and mannerisms are highlighted. But, after watching the movie, we understand that the audience will talk more about his performance in this movie. It is an acting based movie. The theme of the movie is also super. Rajini fans like it very much. Rajinikanth's mass appeal in the movie Vettaiyan is over. Also the roles of Amitabh, Rana and Fahad Fazil are interesting. And Manju Warrior can be said to be a special attraction of this movie. Anirudh, who has been raising the hype for movies with his songs for the past few years, has provided music for the movie 'Vettayan'. In this order, Anirudh has impressed with his BGM. One of the best first half of the recently released movies, director Gnanavel brilliantly directed Vettayyan, a crime investigation thriller story with a social message. Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan played a pivotal role in the film, which starred Rajini in the title role. In this film, Manju Warrier, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Ritika Singh, Dushara Vijayan, Rohini, Abhirami and others acted in key roles and they were pleased with the extent of their roles.
Director TJ Gnanvel Vettayan has directed the movie as an investigate thriller. Are the encounters lawful? Does the justice system justify the encounters? Do you mind? Director Vettayan has shown these elements in the movie by adding commercial elements. Discrimination in the society in the administration of justice is discussed in this movie. The first twenty minutes of the movie will be a treat for Rajini fans. Rajni impresses with mass moments, heroism and elevations in the opening scenes. Rajinikanth played the role of an encounter specialist. Rajni's dialogue delivery and mannerisms are pleasing. Amitabh Bachchan has a bold role for Rajinikanth. The scenes of Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan together on screen. Fahadh Fazil's character as a police informer is funny. Fahadh Faasil impresses with his acting while smiling. Rana Daggubati and Dushara Vijayan's characters are surprising. It can be said that the story is shortened in front of Rajinikanth's image and it has become the biggest minus of this movie. Some of the action and investigation scenes are good, but the predictable storyline and slow-paced screenplay are a little boring. Music director Anirudh makes an impressive guest appearance in the Manasillayo song. It can be said that Anirudh's BGM and songs are the plus point of this movie. The song placement is not right. The story of the movie is to catch a serial killer who is committing murders using technology. The film is about how Rajinikanth caught him. Director Gnanavel has written a good script and the screenplay is new. It can be said that the director's attempt with a star like Rajinikanth has been successful.
The director has not hesitated in making this movie a thriller. Emotions are also shown in the right way. Rajini is whistled by the audience. , Amitabh's role is small but crucial to the film. Rana, Manju Warrier, Fahadh Faasil and Ritika Singh gave good performances. They all acted in competition with Rajinikanth. Anirudh Ravichander did magic and did his best. The equipment he used for music was so shabby. The visuals are good. Rajinikanth's intro of the movie was well done. But the first staff was very slow. The interval was bang. Anirudh proved once again that the music is the backbone of the movie, the second half was a plus for the movie. Although the film has a huge cast, they have suited their roles well. Especially, Gyanvel Raja has done a good experiment with Rajinikanth with the story of catching a serial killer who is committing murders using today's technology. However, in the movie, the Arava smells and names are a little troublesome for Telugu people. Some scenes are boring too. There are some screenplay issues here and there, it seems to lag. Amitabh Bachchan's role is charged despite its short length. The characters of Fahad Fazil, Rana, Manjuwarrior and Ritika Singh competed with Rajinikanth. Even though the movie is a thriller, the emotions are also impressive.
