Raghav Rao (Navdeep) is a Superintendent of Police who experienced the tragic loss of his mother in a fire that occurred during his childhood. In that same incident, Rishi (Dheekshith Shetty) lost both of his parents. Raghav takes on the responsibility of raising Rishi and Megha (Komalee Prasad), the daughter of the watchman (Devi Prasad), who was wrongfully accused of causing the disaster. During the fire, Rishi sustains a head injury that grants him psychometric abilities, allowing him to touch individuals or objects and perceive their histories. To begin with, Touch Me Not is the Telugu adaptation of the Korean series He Is Psychometric. Directed by Ramana Teja, this version offers a satisfactory interpretation, although a more in-depth examination of the psychometry theme could have enhanced its appeal. While narratives centered around psychometry are prevalent in Hollywood, Touch Me Not introduces a novel concept to Telugu viewers, generating immediate intrigue. Although the plot takes time to develop, it ultimately becomes a reasonable viewing experience.

As a crime investigation series, Touch Me Not demands meticulous attention to detail for optimal effectiveness; however, Ramana Teja opts for several cinematic shortcuts, hastily navigating through crucial investigative moments without achieving the anticipated suspense. Additional plot twists could have heightened the excitement. Nevertheless, the director excels in creating dramatic moments, effectively portraying the emotional connections between central characters and the interweaving of their narratives.

The performances are vital to the series, with experienced actors such as Dheekshith Shetty, Navdeep, and Komalee Prasad infusing their roles with depth. However, Ramana Teja spends an excessive amount of time on character introductions, devoting an entire episode to this aspect, which may not have been entirely warranted. Fortunately, the concluding episodes make up for this by delivering significant drama and tension, rendering the series a compelling choice for thriller enthusiasts.

The creators successfully engage the audience by strategically withholding significant plot twists and laying the groundwork for Season 2. A central enigma revolves around Raghav's decision to raise Megha, despite his awareness of her involvement in his mother's death, which serves as a captivating element of the narrative. The series begins at a deliberate pace, necessitating viewer patience to fully appreciate the latter episodes.

Regarding performances, Navdeep stands out with a powerful and unforgettable portrayal. His maturity and experience enhance his ability to convey emotions effectively. Komalee Prasad continues to evolve with each role, and in Touch Me Not, she excels in a substantial part, particularly during poignant scenes. Dheekshith Shetty is given one of the most compelling roles and delivers an outstanding performance, especially in scenes involving psychometry. Sanchita Poonacha also makes a strong impression, adding depth to her character with a commanding screen presence.

On the musical front, Mahati Sagar’s background score is remarkable, enhancing even the most straightforward scenes. The high production values, dynamic camera work, and thoughtful set design significantly contribute to the series' visual appeal. However, the editing in the early episodes could have been more refined to improve the overall pacing.
