The Legend of Hanuman S4 Episodes 1, 2 review

Disney+ Hotstar has captivated the audience with its engaging line-up of web shows and films on the platform. The Legend of Hanuman is one such series from the streamer that has the audiences hooked to their mobile screens.

Produced by Graphic India, The Legend of Hanuman season 4 has been directed by Jeevan J. Kang and Navin John. It is unlike any of the animated series or films based on the mythological tale that we have seen before. The Legend of Hanuman Season 4 is a well-crafted animated series, which got me engrossed in the story from the word go.

The story of this epic battle between Lord Ram and Ravana continues in the fourth season. Ravana seeks his brother Kumbhkaran's help in this ongoing battle. The introductory scene in the fourth season is about Kumbhkaran taking on the Vanar Sena, headed by Lord Sugriva. The demon warns the Vanar Sena to take a step back, or else he will destroy them all. They try to attack Kumbhkaran but fail in their attempt. Later, Lord Hanuman and Lord Sugriva take up the challenge to defeat Kumbhkaran. Even as Lord Hanuman sees his efforts go in vain in a clash with Kumbhkaran, the demon takes Lord Sugriva to his brother Ravana's Lanka. Here comes the major twist! Lord Sugriva is held captive in Lanka while Lord Hanuman tries to put permutations and combinations in place to set him free.

The tale sounds exciting but what makes it better is its execution. Creators Sharad Devarajan, Jeevan J. Kang, and Charuvi Agrawal's effort to keep this animated series true to the mythological tale pays off. There's no dull moment in the first two episodes of The Legend of Hanuman Season 4.

Another interesting part is the near-perfect usage of VFX in the series. It not only adds to the visual appeal of The Legend of Hanuman 4 but also touches upon the reality aspect of the mythological epic. Dialogues delivered by Sharad Kelkar, Damandeep Singh Bagga, and other artists are very much in sync.

However, some dialogues are a let-down as they are cliché. It seems as if the makers forcefully crafted such dialogues to leave an impact. But when you hear the characters voice those dialogues, they sound rather absurd. Besides that, the makers could've avoided the humor element in the story.

The Legend of Hanuman S4 Episodes 1, 2 verdict

The Legend of Hanuman 4 continues to be a visually enriching experience. It's an animated spectacle you would enjoy watching on your mobile screens.
