The storyline of Divorce Insurance revolves around couples who appear to be in love yet are perpetually embroiled in arguments. In one such instance, Lee Dong-wook makes his entrance as the Divorce Insurance guarantor, discussing the preparations for divorce. This conversation leaves the woman taken aback, while he remains unfazed.

Dong-wook's candid approach, urging individuals to be straightforward, epitomizes his character (as a person, not merely as an actor). In this slightly uncomfortable scenario, we are introduced to the notion of Divorce Insurance. Naturally, in the context of the Asian market, this concept faces initial skepticism. However, once alimony is brought into the discussion, Divorce Insurance suddenly becomes an enticing proposition. Despite this, it still encounters considerable resistance. It is Dong-wook's self-assurance that draws attention to the show.

Kim Won-hae returns to his role reminiscent of his days in Strong Girl Bong-soon, embodying a character filled with frustration. This time, he portrays Noh Gi-joon (Dong-wook)'s superior, Na Dae-bok.

The challenges of paperwork are humorously yet realistically portrayed, bringing to life the moment when the concept of Divorce Insurance was conceived.

Actor Dong-wook returns with his signature antics, now paired with a male counterpart who shares his peculiar mindset but refuses to acknowledge it. This dynamic reaches a climax during a pivotal restaurant scene, where Dong-wook's charm is unmistakable.

The portrayal of female camaraderie is strikingly authentic. The burdens that accompany marriage are depicted as overwhelming, and the narrative navigates these societal challenges in a relatable manner. However, the issues presented often outweigh the proposed solutions.

The series is interspersed with random scenes that disrupt the flow of significant moments. While the intention is to inject humor, these segments often come off as bizarre or awkward. Amidst this, a love story begins to unfold, culminating in a familiar yet surprising twist typical of K-Dramas.

The Divorce Insurance Verdict:

Divorce Insurance does not introduce much that is novel. The episode primarily thrives on a couple of key scenes, largely due to Lee Dong-wook's performance. However, it remains too soon to determine the series' ultimate direction.
