Anil Ravipudi's films have a tendency to be leaked prior to their official release. Nevertheless, the family audience remains confident that "Sankranthi is Coming" will be a guaranteed success, particularly with Venkatesh, who has consistently triumphed in family-oriented narratives. While many directors prefer to keep the central plot under wraps to maintain audience intrigue, Anil Ravipudi has opted to disclose the entire storyline in the trailer for "Sankranthi is Coming." He has provided clarity on the narrative arc through the portrayal of the male lead characters. This approach of revealing the plot ahead of time and enticing viewers to visit theatres is quite remarkable. The director and cast have effectively showcased the film in the trailer, indicating precisely when audiences should attend to experience the movie. The promotional efforts have significantly heightened interest in the film. Notably, Venkatesh has excelled in his role, engaging audiences with his acting, singing, and humour, thereby elevating the promotional campaign to an exceptional level. Did the team, which previously asserted their intention to achieve success with "Sankranthi," manage to realize that ambition? Did they experience the thrill of a blockbuster Pongal? Let us explore further.

Plot Summary: Yadagiri Damodar Raju, known as Yama Dharmaraju (Venkatesh), enjoys a blissful existence with Bhagyalakshmi (Aishwarya Rajesh). He affectionately calls her Ramachilakava, even in informal situations. As a senior IPS officer, Raju faces suspension due to an encounter case, leading him to resign from the police force. He moves from Hyderabad to Rajahmundry, where he experiences love at first sight with Bhagya and subsequently marries her. Their life flourishes as they welcome four children over the span of six years, but they soon encounter unexpected difficulties.

Analysis: The production did not involve a budget of hundreds of crores, and the pan-Indian artists were not rushed. The shooting was completed in three to four months, with the film being finalized in six to seven months. They announced their arrival for Sankranthi in advance, promising a blockbuster experience for the festival. The narrative revolves around a husband caught between his wife and his former girlfriend, making it a relatable story for families. The film, titled 'We Are Coming to Sankranthi,' blends humour, paternal sentiment, family drama, and action, showcasing a lighthearted investigation into a complex kidnapping case. Ultimately, it conveys the message of respecting teachers, emphasizing that every student should remember the mentor who supported them. Anil Ravipudi imparts the lesson that "success without acknowledging the teacher is akin to being orphaned." Despite Venky Mama's humorous remark, "Don't mention flashbacks," there is a deeper significance behind it. He gently inquires if one has loved anyone before marriage, suggesting that everyone has a past, often filled with untold love stories.

Meenakshi Chaudhary is excellently cast as the junior IPS officer who aids Raju in the investigation of the kidnapping case. She appears striking in her police uniform and delivers commendable performances during the action sequences. Additionally, she is well-portrayed as Raju's former lover, who has conflicts with his wife. Following the viewing of the film, with Sankranthi approaching, one might ponder how many will discuss the hero, heroine, and director; however, this child artist, Revanth, who plays Venkatesh's son Bulliraju, certainly stands out. His memorable line "Korikesta.. Korikesta" resonated throughout the theatres. In the first half, as all the villagers gather, Bulliraju's reprimands directed at his father, Chinna Raju, are particularly impactful. A notable moment occurs when Meenakshi Chaudhary reveals that Raju's ex-girlfriend and her aunt have come for him, leading to a humorous exchange where the boy declares he will not dance with anyone's wives, eliciting laughter from the audience without crossing any boundaries. Naresh's portrayal of the Telangana Chief Minister and VTV Ganesh as the party president significantly contributed to the film's comedic elements. Upendra Limaye delivered a remarkable performance as jailer George Antony, while Sai Kumar's deep voice added depth to the narrative. Additionally, Srinivas Reddy and Vadlamani Srinivas were well-cast in their respective roles. Ganesh's character, speaking in a Godavari accent, effectively engaged the audience with humour that shifted the story's direction.

From a technical perspective, Bheems excelled with the background music and songs, significantly enhancing the film's overall appeal. His contribution was pivotal in creating a vibrant atmosphere for the film's release, elevating the on-screen musical numbers with an impressive background score. The standout feature of this film is undoubtedly Bheems's music. He collaborated with the talented singer Ramana Gogal on the song "Godari Gattupayne Ramachilakavaye," which captivated the audience and encouraged them to sing along repeatedly. The visual presentation of the song is equally stunning, and Bhanu Master's choreography is commendable. Each song, including "Godari Gattupayne Ramachilakavaye," "Miru," and "Blockbuster Pongal," is executed with finesse.
