Siddharth Neelakanta (Sai Ram Shankar), a public prosecutor, becomes addicted to drugs after his wife goes missing. One day, his close aide, Divya (Bigg Boss Bhanu), is brutally murdered, and the cops frame Siddharth. Being a lawyer, he fights his own case and proves his innocence. However, soon after, another lawyer's wife is killed, and once again, Siddharth is framed for the crime. Who is behind these murders? What connection does Siddharth have to these killings? Oka Pathakam Prakaram signifies the return of renowned director Puri Jagannadh's brother, Sai Ram Shankar, to the Telugu film industry. He portrays a lawyer entangled in several cases, determined to clear his name while challenging the very legal system he represents. This captivating concept is effectively executed, with the central conflict introduced promptly, ensuring the audience's interest is maintained from the outset.

Under the direction of Vinod Vijayan, the film adeptly cultivates suspense, keeping viewers on edge regarding the true identity of the murderer. The gradual revelation of information throughout different segments enhances the film's compelling storyline. Nevertheless, the presence of numerous filler scenes detracts from the pacing, leading to moments of tedium for the audience. Eliminating some of these scenes would have been beneficial.

A significant shortcoming is that following the revelation of the primary twist, the narrative becomes rather foreseeable. Furthermore, certain legal discrepancies and logical flaws are overlooked, which may disappoint discerning viewers. The director also takes an excessive amount of time to engage with the central conflict, resulting in unnecessary delays due to superfluous scenes.

Sai Ram Shankar's performance stands out as a significant highlight, as he infuses his character with depth and effectively conveys a wide array of emotions and actions with assurance. His return to the screen is commendable after an extended absence. In contrast, Sudhakar's character appears somewhat outdated, creating the impression that these scenes were filmed many years ago.

Both Shruti Sodhi and Ashima Narwal provide satisfactory performances, while Samuthirakani contributes a touch of humour, although the dubbing for his role seems inconsistent. The remaining cast members offer adequate support. On the technical side, Gopi Sundar's musical compositions and background score are commendable, enhancing the film's overall atmosphere.

The cinematography is naturally appealing, and the teams responsible for art direction, production, and action choreography have excelled in demonstrating high production values. The dialogues, particularly those addressing legal matters and the apprehension of criminals by law enforcement, resonate well within the film.

Oka Pathakam Prakaram successfully captivates the audience with its engaging twists and turns, skillfully establishing an atmosphere suitable for a crime and suspense thriller. Nevertheless, certain illogical aspects and a sluggish pace diminish the overall impact of the narrative.
