'Pottel' directed by Sahit Motkuri starring Yuva Chandra Krishna as the hero. This movie starring Ananya Nagella as the heroine was released this Friday (25, October-2024). Before the release of the movie, the movie was rushed in terms of promotion. She created a lot of hype about the movie by taking the ram into the houses of the movie celebrities and conducting the campaign. She took blessings for the film with actors from Chitraseema. And let's know to what extent the movie 'Pottel', which was made in such a hurry, got the audience's appreciation...

Let's go into the story... Elder Gangadari (Yuva Chandra) spends his time tending sheep which he inherited from his childhood without his will. As a part of that, the elder Gangadari grows 'Pottel', which is considered by the people of the village to be the blessing of 'Balamma' mother. The story takes place in the 1970s and 80s in a town in the border region of Maharashtra and Telangana. It is the norm and custom of that village to sacrifice a pottel to the village deity Balamma once in a fair. Also, the people there blindly believe that the Patel of that village is blessed with Balamma. However, Patel (Ajay) of the village has been in love with Balamma since childhood. In this background, Balamma Poonakam disguises Patel's monstrosity. In the course of some dramatic developments in this sequence, how did elder Gangdari educate his daughter Saraswati with the help of teacher Duryodhan (Srikanth Iyengar) against Patel? What did he achieve in the matter? You have to watch the movie to know...

Analysis: 'Pottel' is an emotional period drama that gives a new experience to the audience. Especially the background of the story, some emotional elements are impressive. However, the screenplay is slow and some scenes are not interesting. The desire and anguish of a father to educate his daughter is impressive in this movie. Since the story is set many years ago, the set-up has also been designed well along with the filming of the characters to suit the conditions of that time. The drama between Patel and the hero is also good. The elements of the Patel system in the Telangana region may not seem so interesting to the present generation. However, this film is an attempt to tell this generation what that system was like. The director should be congratulated for choosing such a story. If not, the movie would have been better if the effort had been more interesting. Similarly, the character of the hero should be written more strongly. How the underprivileged communities and Dalit people were troubled by the Patel system in Telangana, how much they were crushed as slaves, especially the children of the Dalit communities in the matter of education is well shown in this film. Similarly, Chinnari sentiment and Balamma (Ammoru) elements have increased interest in the film. The director, who handled the emotions effectively in the film, moved some key scenes very slowly. In fact, although the story background Taluk scenes are well written, the rest of the scenes, especially the scenes in the middle of the second half, should have been made more interesting. Director Sahit Motkuri has chosen a good story for his film. The director, who was successful in taking a good story setting that the audience liked, seemed to falter in writing the exciting scenes at some places. All the scenes directed by him are good. It would have been better if more care had been taken in terms of some scenes.

When it comes to actors.. Yuva Chandra's character is impressive. His portrayal of the character is good. Yuva Chandra also acted well in his role and was appreciated by the audience. He impressed with his realistic acting in some emotional scenes. Ananya Nagalla, who played the heroine, was impressive throughout with her performance. She impressed with her performance in some emotional scenes. Ajay who played another key role acted well and became a special attraction of the movie. Also, Chhatrapati Shekhar, Tanaswi Chaudhary, Priyanka Sharma, Noyal, Srikanth Iyengar and other actors also acted to the extent of their roles.

As far as technical matters are concerned... especially the cinematography work is a special attraction of the movie itself. Music by music director Shekhar Chandra and editing by editor Karthik Srinivas seemed okay. First of all, the producers should be congratulated for believing in the director's idea and presenting such a diverse film to the Telugu audience. Producers 'Suresh Kumar Sadige and Nishank Reddy Kuditila's production values are up to the level of the film. Overall, this 'Pottel' will be okay for the audience who like different, new kind of emotional dramas.
