Pelli Kani Prasad is both written and directed by Satyam Dwarapudi, who opts for a classic narrative centered on a 38-year-old man eager to marry. To enhance the story's appeal, he incorporates elements of suspense and humor through a family fixated on relocating overseas. The comedic adventure takes an unexpected twist when this family ensnares the protagonist, oblivious to his lack of intention to return to Malaysia.

The concept is captivating, and the director deserves recognition for remaining faithful to the characters. The film steers clear of simplistic moral dichotomies, as the intentions of the girl’s family members are distinctly ambiguous. Pelli Kani Prasad is rich in boisterous humor, catering to viewers who appreciate such comedic styles. Nevertheless, some may perceive the humor as awkward.

A significant flaw lies in the exaggerated depiction of the girl's family and their intense desire to emigrate. Their portrayals are excessively dramatic and feel contrived throughout the film. The protagonist's shift in character during the climax—from self-centered to benevolent—appears sudden and lacks credibility. Furthermore, the film exhibits logical flaws, particularly with the father character, who is portrayed as obsessively pursuing wealth yet seems incongruous within the storyline.

In terms of performance, Sapthagiri stands out prominently. His age and presence align perfectly with the character of Pelli Kani Prasad. He showcases commendable dancing skills, and many comedic interactions between him and the girl’s family are genuinely amusing. Priyanka Sharma delivers a satisfactory performance in her role, while Muralidhar Goud impresses despite his character being underdeveloped. Annapurna performs effectively, although the actress portraying the heroine’s mother tends to overact.

Sekhar Chandra’s musical score is noteworthy, yet the background music (BGM) does not meet the same standard. The frequent use of meme-inspired sound effects feels inappropriate. The production quality is commendable, but the editing could benefit from greater precision. The film’s dialogues, particularly the satirical ones, are well-crafted and resonate effectively.

Pelli Kani Prasad is a film that offers a considerable amount of humor, albeit occasionally presented in a loud and hurried manner. The plot is satisfactory; however, its deficiency in emotional depth diminishes its overall effect. With a more effective treatment of the emotional elements, the film could have achieved greater strength.
