Story:

Now that the wedding took place, Hae-yeong and Ji-uk are to part ways as promised. But, can they live without each other after sharing a special moment such as a wedding? Find out.

Review:

The moment we have been waiting for is here! Lovely Runner-famed actor Byeon Woo-seok has made his cameo in No Gain No Love, and it is a very brief scene.

As episode 4 commences, it hints at the focus shifting to second leads, for it begins with Ja-yeon's time in school with Ha-jun, aka Secretary Yeo.

Soon after, Hae-yeong is introduced as a punk in school. With red-coloured hair and denim-on-denim look, she is far from being in the school uniform. As expected, it is her rebelling against the situation she has been forcibly put in. But she's a rebel with her heart in the right place.

Hae-yeong and Ji-uk's introduction brings hilarity, but if you know K-Dramas well, you'd expect what is to happen. Shin Min-a once again kills it in the episode with her expressions. Apart from that, her chemistry with Kim Young-dae is very much loveable in every scene of the episode.

Once again, the moments between Gyu-hyun and Secretary Yeo turn into a hilarious ride. Theirs could literally turn into a play in itself. The hate Gyu-hyun holds for Ja-yeon and knowing it would turn into a love story is what will leave you excited in this episode.

Han Ji-hyun nails it as Ja-yeong in the trolling scene. To top it up, the scene has cinematic brilliance - of all lights shutting off one after another. She also ends up bringing a hilarious effect later in the episode with her dressing sense.

Go-wook as Ahn U-jae makes you laugh with his childish behaviour, too. The song Fall Into You comes at a crucial moment and makes for a beautiful yet painful moment.

A timelapse later, Ji-uk goes missing and leaves a big void (PS: He's already close to Hae-yeong in a sense). The way his story unfolds, it leaves a lot of scope for what is to come, and we hope the mystery is unfolded soon! When he comes back, Ji-uk does fill the gap he left behind with his brief absence on the show.

Gyu-hyun and Ja-yeon come closer to meeting one another, too. Before that, though, his parents, played by Choi Jin-ho and Lee Il-hwa, leave you impressed with their hilarious moments.

When Gyu-hyun and Ja-yeong actually meet, chaos follows. Hae-yeong meeting Gyu-hyun tries to be funny but isn't as much as you might have expected it to be. Ja-yeong and Hae-yeong share a moment after and it will leave your heart warm.

Byeon Woo-seok's cameo is here at long last! He fits right in as Ji-uk's temporary replacement and almost shares a chemistry with Min-a, too (even if they're not a couple). Him behaving dumb in the series is cute but not impressive. If you were waiting for his moment, you’ll still love him, just not as much as you did in Lovely Runner.

All in all, the episode is dedicated to both the lead couples. Hae-yeong and Ji-uk have an upward and downward graph in their love story throughout, while Gyu-hyun and Ja-yeong have a funnier side to what is to develop into romantic feelings.

Verdict:

If you were waiting to explore Lee Sang-yi and Han Ji-hyun’s romance as Bok Gyu-hyun and Nam Ja-yeon, then you would love this episode. Shin Min-a handles this episode of No Gain No Love solo, but you will still miss Ji-uk and his return will definitely be something you craved for. So, if you’re watching the episode for Byeon Woo-seok’s cameo alone, you’d be missing out on a lot.
