Story:

While Gyu-hyun and Ja-yeon have just started dating, Hae-yeong and Ji-uk’s relationship evolves. Episode 10 explores the highs and lows in their equation and life in general.

Review:

Episode 10 of No Gain No Love commences with Lee Sang-yi's Bok-gyu feeling lonelier than he ever has. Of course, he recalls the moment Han Ji-hyun's Ja-yeon openly asked him if he has a crush on her with her puppy eyes. His smile speaks volumes about the sweet memory he has. In his current situation, it is the only good memory.

Secretary Yeo (Lee You-jin) is here, and his expression after Gyu-hyun's funny remark takes the scene to another level. As always, they're the hilarious duo.

The truth behind Ja-yeon and Gyu-hyun's hug is revealed, and it's a scene that's too cute to handle. Of course, Kim Young-dae's Ji-uk and Shin Min-ah's Hae-yeong's entry give the scene a spin you wouldn't have expected if it were not a part of episode 9.

Shin Min-ah's reaction to Gyu-hyun's confession will leave you in splits. Her reaction, which makes for the most hilarious and heartwarming scene, is the highlight of the episode.

Hae-yeong and Ja-yeon always had the cutest sister bond, and this episode is more proof of it. We get to explore more of Ji-uk and Gyu-hyun's bond as well through the episode, and needless to say, the former shines through-and-through. The episode also has a beautiful scene where they behave like true brothers without really acknowledging it. Their bond overall is just as beautiful.

Hae-yeong's scene with Ji-uk in the room is one of the rarest you see throughr rhe season and thus, it is very special. Her story, which was unexplored so far, is explored. It is about how her father died and the moment Ja-yeon's murderer father was arrested. The scene is built well, for it keeps the thrill alive.

For her current situation, Hui-seong (Joo Min-kyung) performs well. Her boyfriend Tae-hyung (Heo Joeng-min) is gentle as always, even with his expressions.

Hae-yeong threatening Gyu-hyun, as you know by now, is the best part of the episode. The scene turns out to be unintentionally hilarious.

The mother Eun-ok (Yoon Bok-in) finally has some role to play, and it's at the perfect moment. You also get to see a different side of Mr. Jang (Yoon Seo-hyun) in this episode, and it's surprisingly good. Eventually, though, Ji-uk steals his limelight.

Shin Min-ah's expressions as she asks Kim Young-dae's Ji-uk to leave is one that is a cinematic experience. It becomes beautiful owing to an effect added to the scene. While Shin Min-ah owns the scene, Kim Young-dae turns it into something amazing.

Right after they get their happy moment, Ja-yeon and Gyu-hyun's love blossoms. Their moments are just as cute, if not more. And they have their first kiss too! It is super adorable for the first kiss.

Yi-lin (Jeon Hye-won) and U-jae (Go-wook) appear last. While we could feel the cracks in their relationship the last time itself, all is clear with this episode. They are struggling, mainly because of him. Even though U-jae nails it in expressions each time, this is not one of those moments. Yi-lin is the same - as unimpressive as always.

Hae-yeong finds out the truth about Ji-uk after a crucial moment between them. This builds more suspense, which was lacking in the previous episode. The camera angles in the scene, though, absolutely disturb your viewing experience.

Verdict:

No Gain No Love has finally picked up after a dull episode 9. Episode 10 is about the love story moving forward, and it is not limited to Hae-yeong and Ji-uk but also Gyu-hyun and Ja-yeon. The episode also has the twists and surprises which went missing the last time around. You want to watch this one, which is just ahead of the finale week.
