MAD 2 Story

MAD centers on a circle of college friends. In MAD 2, these friends are now preoccupied with their careers but come together for the wedding of their friend Laddu (Vishnu Oi). Upon their arrival, the trio—Manoj (Ram Nithin), Ashok (Narne Nithiin), and Damodhar (Sangeeth Sobhan)—stir up chaos, creating disturbances for everyone around them. MAD 2 is helmed by Kalyan Shankar, who seeks to present this comedic adventure in a novel context. While the original film was set in a college environment, MAD 2 unfolds during a wedding celebration among friends. The original featured a natural comedic flow and a robust romantic subplot, whereas MAD 2 leans heavily on humor alone. Muralidhar Goud, who has been a frequent presence in recent films, delivers a particularly amusing performance in his role. The remaining cast members provide average portrayals.

The film presents commendable production values, effectively showcasing Goa in a vibrant and energetic light. However, the music falls short, lacking any memorable tracks. The background score is excessively loud, seemingly intended to enhance the comedic effect, yet a more balanced approach would have been preferable. The screenplay is merely adequate, and a more coherent narrative could have strengthened the humor.
