Six individuals make unfortunate decisions, yet their lives are intricately linked. To clarify, the crime thriller K-drama titled Karma effectively embodies its name. Indeed, Karma is ever-watchful, and one must remain conscious of their actions. Misdeeds inevitably come back to haunt you in various forms.

The series features a talented cast, including Park Hae-soo, Shin Min-a, Lee Hee-jun, Kim Sung-kyun, Lee Kwang-soo, and Gong Seung-yeon, delving into themes of fate, destiny, and the repercussions of human choices.

The narrative of Karma commences with a fire engulfing an abandoned building, resulting in several casualties. However, one individual narrowly escapes and is rushed to the hospital. There, a female doctor is taken aback upon learning the identity of the survivor, Park Jae-yeong. The plot then transitions to Lee He-jun, who portrays a debtor overwhelmed by private loans and facing threats from his landlord for failing to pay rent.

Park Hae-soo becomes a witness to a perplexing accident, leading him to make a fateful choice. This marks the beginning of a series of events. To conceal a particular truth, he intentionally engages in criminal activity, setting the stage for Karma to observe and await the repercussions. With the assistance of his accomplice, a Korean-Chinese individual, Hae-soo is involved in the murder of Lee He-jun's father. He-jun is motivated by the desire to claim his father's insurance money, which he can only obtain if his father dies due to an accident or illness. Consequently, he enlists the Korean-Chinese man to carry out the murder, who in turn seeks Hae-soo's help.

On the day of the incident, however, things go awry as He-jun's father survives the car accident. Sensing imminent danger, Hae-soo silences him and subsequently disposes of the body from an overpass. The corpse lands on a couple's vehicle, leading the man inside, portrayed by Lee Kwang-soo, to believe he has struck someone while driving under the influence. Unbeknownst to him, the woman he is dating is also part of the conspiracy. When Kwang-soo realizes that he did not hit anyone, but rather that the body fell from above, he seeks out his girlfriend. However, she and Hae-soo have already conspired to eliminate him.

In a twist of fate, Kwang-soo accidentally runs over the woman but ultimately meets his demise at the hands of Hae-soo. This entire scenario illustrates how a hasty decision can lead to dire consequences, reinforcing the adage that one should "think before acting," yet once an action is taken, reflection becomes futile.

Turning to the storyline, the theme of crime continues to unfold. In a desperate bid for survival, Hae-soo adopts the identity of Park Jae-yeong, a debtor. He not only murders this debtor but also takes the life of a Korean-Chinese individual by igniting a building, ultimately becoming a victim himself. In the end, he faces the repercussions of his actions through Karma. The series illustrates how one individual's misguided choices can profoundly impact the lives of others, leading them to make equally poor decisions.

Karma can prove to be perilous for those who repeatedly engage in criminal behavior. Throughout the series, characters attempt to escape the consequences of their ill-fated actions, only to find themselves ensnared by Karma. They believe that eliminating others will secure their safety, yet this belief only entangles them further in a cycle of crime and its repercussions. The plot is so intricately written, directed, and crafted that I found myself confused about the characters' identities, prompting me to search online, which highlighted the exceptional direction of the series. Missing even a single scene can leave one lost, underscoring the significance of Karma. Following Ju Ji-hoon's Light Shop, Karma is bound to be a topic of conversation for months to come.

Karma, the gripping crime thriller K-drama, will astonish you as you uncover the intricate connections between the narratives, all conveying a profound lesson about life: to be aware of your actions.
