Tamil hero Suriya's latest movie 'Kanguva'. There are huge expectations on this movie directed by Siva. While this movie has come to the audience this Thursday (November 14, 2024). And let's find out how much the audience liked this movie!

Story : Francis (Surya) is a bounty hunter. He has a breakup with another bounty hunter Angel (Disha Patani). However, both of them get into a fight while doing what they agreed to do for money. At such a time, Francis meets a boy named Zeta who has received a brain transplant. But Zeta is chased by gang members. Francis fights with his life to save Zeta. He looks at Francis with admiration. What is Francis' reincarnation connection to Zeta? Why does Francis want to protect Zeta even though there is no bond? But who is so poor? What is the relation of the Zeta to Kanguva? What is the ethnic struggle between Pranavadi Kona, Kapala Kona, Aranya Kona, Hima Kona and Sagara Kona? What is the rivalry between Pranavadi Kona's Kanguva and Kapala Kona's Rudhira Netra (Bobby Deol)? Why is Romania torn between the five corners? Why did Kanguva get the ethnic and regional dominance struggle of the blood groups? What kind of revenge did Kanguva take on the Kapala Kona race? Why did Kanguva want to save Pulama at the cost of his life? Who is that Babu whom Francis met by chance in Goa? He remembers that there is some relationship between that Babu and Francis. He remembers that the relationship is from the past life. Some of the dramatic developments in this sequence.. Who is Kanguva in that story that happened hundreds of years ago? What did he do for the betterment of his race? What was the war between the Kanguva tribe and the rest of the tribes? What did Kanguva, who was born as Francis, achieve? The answer to these questions is the story of Kanguva movie.

Analysis: Although there are heavy emotions and heavy visuals in this 'Kanguva', some of the scenes in terms of story are not fully impressive. Director Siva, who performed well in the action scenes (especially in the climax of Kanguva) along with the main theme that he wanted to tell in the story of 'Kanguva', appeared slowly in the remaining few scenes. Although there is a possibility to make those scenes more interesting, the director is interested in elevating the emotional drama he intended. Also, the hype of the movie could not be continued throughout the movie. And the love track between Disha Patani and Surya would have been better. The movie 'Kanguva' is set in the present time of Francis. The director has set a good background for the story. But it would have been better if the portrayal of the characters and the scenes were easily understood and the story narration was told in a simplified manner so that this generation audience would like it. Excessive action and shouting dialogues can be tolerated to some extent, but from the first scene of the movie to the last scene, it is unbearable. But Suriya and Bobby Deol's characters are okay. Another character who doesn't seem to connect emotionally in this story becomes a minus. This 'Kanguva', which came as a period action and emotional drama, was impressive with action sequences and some emotional scenes. Especially Suriya's powerful performance, surprising elements in the climax and good work from the technical department are good. But, things like routine screenplay, slow progress of some scenes and love story are not very impressive for the movie. However, Suriya has taken this movie to another level with his performance. Overall, this film will entertain Suriya fans as well as action lovers.

When it comes to acting.. As always, hero Surya is very impressed with his acting and performance. Francis, as Kanguva, is seen in two roles in this film. He has cultivated action scenes and emotion scenes well. As always, Suriya has acted brilliantly in the roles of Kanguva and Francis. Surya's performance in a dual role is the main highlight of the entire movie. Surya's performance as a man who gives his life for his race, for his word, is really good. The film is exactly what his fans want from Suriya, with huge visuals and 'wild action and emotional elements'. And Disha Patani is only limited to glamour. She acted within the scope of her role and did justice. She impressed the youth in glamor looks. Bollywood actor Bobby Deol also lived his role. The depth of Bobby Deol's character is impressive. Director Siva designed his character as Surya's character. Bobby Deol once again impresses as a brutal villain. It seems that Bobby Deol's character could not be elevated much in that shadow because everything is Surya. Natarajan Subramaniam also acted very well. His screen presence is also good. Similarly, Karthi, who shined in a guest role, became a special attraction of the film. And the rest of the actors also impressed with their performance in Aya's roles. The sea action sequences in the climax and pre-climax are very good. Also the emotional scenes between that little Babu and Surya are impressive. K.S. who appeared in other key roles. Ravikumar, Yogi Babu, Kovai Sarala, Mansoor Ali Khan impressed. The two child actors became the strong characters of the story. All the other actors seemed to be okay.

Technical Department: Cinematographer Vetri Palaniswami's cinematography work is good in this movie. Along with the key scenes of the movie, he also shot the rest of the action scenes in accordance with the stories. Editing by Nishad Yusuf is also very good. And the songs composed by music director Devi Sri Prasad are good. Their picturization is also good. The background music is impressive at some places. Siva has done justice to this film as writer and director. The greatest strength of this film is the performance of the technicians. Cinematography and music are positive aspects. But sometimes Devi Sri Prasad seemed to overdo the scenes. Palaniswami's cinematography makes this movie richer. Beautiful locations make this movie beautiful. Produced by Gnanavel Raja under the banner of Studio Green, UV Creations, the production values are good. Suriya, Bobby Deol, the performance of the technical departments and director Siva's take became a strong film Kanguva. As a story of struggle for supremacy between races and regions, this film was shot on a grand budget. But the lack of connecting elements to the common audience is a minus of this movie. Producer K.E. Gnanavel Raja has made this film without compromising anywhere. The production values are up to the level of the movie. Finally, those who want a different theatrical experience can watch this film. .
