Do Patti finally landed on Netflix on October 25. Starring Kajol, Kriti Sanon, and Shaheer Sheikh, the movie is directed by Shashanka Chaturvedi. Kajol played the role of a cop while Kriti was seen in dual roles and Shaheer aced the role of Dhruv Sood. The plot revolves around twin sisters harboring a deep secret and a determined police inspector seeks to uncover the truth in an attempted murder case. Do Patti has been receiving several kinds of reactions from viewers on X (formerly Twitter). Some praised Kajol, Kriti Sanon, and Shaheer Sheikh while some said that the movie has 'its own flaws at many points.'

Shaheer Sheikh receives immense love

Kriti played the double role of Shailee and Soumya. In the movie, Shailee felt the world was on Soumya's side so her jealousy began from cutting her sister's hair as a child, and transcended to seducing Soumya's boyfriend Dhruv (Shaheer Sheikh). Dhruv, a rich spoiled brat, decided to marry Soumya following his father's ultimatum after losing a business deal.

His character received praise from the viewers. One wrote, "Omg dhruv sood @Shaheer_S killed it." While another commented, "Shaheer, YOU NAILED IT as Dhruv! Mind-blowing performance!"

Do Patti marks the debut of Kriti Sanon as a producer. Written by Kanika Dhillon, Do Patti follows Kajol investigating a crime involving Kriti and Shaheer's love story. The twin's trope shows that one sister wants to live a normal life surrounded by love, while the other wants to destroy her dreams and aspirations.
