Average Student Nani Story

Nani(Pawan Kumar) is a spoiled brat who does not pay heed to his parents. Despite his financial situation, he somehow gets admitted to an engineering college. There, he falls for Sarayu(Sneha Naidu) and lands into deep problems. If this was not enough, he chanced upon yet another girl named Anu(Sahiba). While all this going on a happy note, Nani's life turns upside down due to an incident related to his sister. What is that issue that made Nani responsible? and who did Nani choose as his love interest in the end is the basic story of the film.

Average Student Nani Review

Pawan Kumar impressed everyone with his film Merise Merise. Though the film flopped, his work as an actor was appreciated. He has now turned producer-director and acted in Average Student Nani. As he has donned multiple hands, one should appreciate his dedication to the craft as he has delivered justice to the director in him.

The film is about today's parents forcing their children to do things as per wish. How a very clever student goes haywire in life as his parents always corner him praising his sister is showcased in a very realistic manner. The consequences of what the youth will go through if forced to do something in life despite their liking is showcased in an apt manner.

Though the story looks interesting and gives a message, the usage of way too many commercial elements dampens the film's outcome. Pawan Kumar narrates the film in a very interesting manner in the first half but makes things boring in the second half. There is a lot of glamor as there are two gorgeous heroines.

The excessive skin show will be loved by the masses but the family audience might find it difficult to digest such things in a film that has a strong social message. The emotional scenes featuring Jhansi and Rajeev Kanakala evoke a few strong emotions and the manner in which Pawan has dealt with them is quite good.

Though these emotions are predictable, they have been narrated in a very sensible manner and move you in a few scenes. On the other hand, one of the biggest disadvantages of the film is the slow pace. Pawan Kumar takes a lot of time to enter into the core conflict point. All this happens because of the extra padded commercial elements.

Coming to the performances, Pawan Kumar also plays the main lead in the film and he is good. His screen presence takes time for the audience to adjust but once it does, Pawan makes sure that one gets along with the emotions of his character in a solid manner. The way he has acted in all the emotional scenes is pretty impressive.

Sneha Malviya and Sahiba Bhasin look beautiful on screen. As said earlier, their glamor dose will be a feast for the youth. Acting wise too, Sahiba Bhasin has done a good job. Popular actress, Jhansi plays the hero's mom and she is amazing in the film. Rajeev Kanakala also gets a key role of a strict father and delivers a fine performance.

Karthik B Korakandla's BGM is decent but his songs are very good. Credit should go to Pawan Kumar for shooting the songs in such a vibrant manner. The editing is just about okay but the production values are neat. The screenplay is good in the first half but tends to become dull in the latter part.

In a way, Pawan Kumar has narrated a story that makes a lot of sense in today's times. Upon this, the glamor feast is also an advantage for the youth to enjoy the film. But it is the prestcible last half an hour that takes things down.

Average Student Nani Verdict

On the whole, Average Student Nani has a very good message for today's parents. The youthful narration and glamor dose will attract the youth but the rest of the presentation is routine and a bit predictable.
