Sunidhi Chauhan emphasizes that achieving fitness goals does not require extreme measures in diet and exercise; rather, consistency is key. The acclaimed singer has reached a significant professional milestone, attributed in part to her dynamic stage performances and striking appearance. In a recent interview with Mid-Day, Sunidhi, aged 41, shared insights into her effective diet and fitness regimen.

Sunidhi is fitter than ever

During the interview, Sunidhi's fitness trainer, Viraj Sarmalkar, disclosed that the singer successfully lost five kilograms in just ten days to prepare for her latest dance number, "Aankh," alongside actress Sanya Malhotra, where both donned bikini-like outfits.

Further highlighting Sunidhi's fitness capabilities, he noted, “She is capable of lifting 90 kilograms, squatting with 70 kilograms, and performing several unassisted pull-ups. At one point, she completed a five-kilometer run in 25 minutes.”

Sunidhi's diet secrets

Viraj mentioned that Sunidhi follows a calorie-restricted diet, consuming fewer than 1,200 calories daily. The singer explained that she practices intermittent fasting, motivated not only by weight loss but also to provide her intestines with a period of rest.

Sunidhi shared that she fasts for 16 hours each day, allowing herself an 8-hour window to eat. Her day typically begins with eggs and occasionally a slice of sourdough bread.

She stated, “It is ideal to break the fast with protein and fat, as they are more crucial than carbohydrates. If I feel hungry, I have a meal. I usually crave food around 5 PM. In the meantime, I might snack on nuts, which help keep me satisfied for an additional three hours. On days when I lift weights, which occurs two to three times a week, I also include a protein shake. My final meal of the day is at 7:30 PM.”
