Following her discussions about prioritizing her health and the inspiration she drew from Hrithik Roshan to pursue fitness, Shreya Chaudhry, known for her role in Bandish Bandits, is once again sharing her weight loss journey to motivate others.
In a recent Instagram post, the actress candidly expressed her long-standing struggles with weight management and neglecting her health. At the age of 19, after experiencing significant weight gain and suffering from a slipped disc, she recognized the need for change. This realization prompted her to take her health seriously, resulting in a remarkable loss of 30 kilograms.
‘I stopped doing any physical activity…’
In her post, Shreya reflected on her journey, stating, “I told myself, I’ll never give up.” She explained that her decision to speak out about her fitness challenges stemmed from a sense of empowerment and safety, encouraging her to share her story to inspire others.
“At 19, I faced numerous challenges and was not in a positive mental state. During this period, I gained considerable weight, which adversely affected my health and fitness. I ceased all physical activities, exacerbating the situation. The turning point came when I suffered a slipped disc at such a young age. I had always been ambitious and career-driven, but this injury became a significant barrier to achieving my aspirations. This experience served as a crucial wake-up call, making me realize how I had taken my health for granted,” Shreya articulated in her letter.
‘I slowly became fitter, lost 30 kilos…’
Upon deciding to take control of her life, Shreya dedicated herself to her well-being, ultimately losing 30 kilograms by the age of 21. With her newfound fitness, she experienced no further issues with her slipped disc, allowing her to embrace a more active lifestyle and continue her journey toward improved health.
Life will invariably present us with challenges; it is essential for us to persevere and maintain our focus, I believe. Fortunately, I am currently in excellent physical condition. Having once suffered from a slipped disc, I am now able to box with great intensity. I can dance, remain on my feet for extended periods during filming, and push my physical limits on set whenever necessary, the Bandish Bandits actor expressed.
"We are bestowed with the precious gift of life, and it is our responsibility to embrace it to the fullest," she further remarked.
