Actor Ram Kapoor recently shocked everyone with his incredible physical transformation. His journey of losing 55 kgs in just 18 months has motivated many. After making waves with his fit look, Ram talked about the struggles he encountered while being overweight and what pushed him to slim down. He revealed that he dropped the 55 kgs the traditional way, steering clear of surgery or any outside help.

Ram Kapoor, famous for his role in Bade Achche Lagte Hain, opened up about weighing 140 kgs during the filming of Neeyat and Jubilee. He shared that he was in poor health and would get winded after just 20 steps. Ram also mentioned dealing with diabetes, a foot injury, and having a tough time with simple movements. Eventually, he came to the realization that he couldn't continue living like this.

I’ve got two kids, and I really wanted to be a good role model for them by focusing on my health. In the past six months, I managed to drop 55 kgs, getting down to 85 kgs. This journey has been really personal for me, Ram shared with ETimes.

He explained that his weight loss came from changing his lifestyle, habits, and mindset. Ram also mentioned that he doesn’t see anything wrong with medical options if they assist someone. "For me, it was all about a total mental and physical reset," Kapoor added.

Ram Kapoor talks about shedding pounds in his 50s

During the same chat, Ram opened up about the struggles of shedding pounds in his 50s. "It's definitely tougher. I figured out that this needs to be a permanent change, not just a quick solution. It’s not just about sticking to a diet for a couple of months; it’s about transforming yourself. This time, I didn’t just chase fast results or rely solely on willpower," Ram shared. 

The actor mentioned that he pays attention to his diet, sleep patterns, workout schedule, and fasting times. Kapoor believes that fitness isn't just about what the scale says; it's really about feeling strong, full of energy, and healthy.
