Pratik Gandhi is set to appear in the forthcoming Netflix drama Dhoom Dhaam, alongside Yami Gautam. The actor, who rose to prominence through notable works such as Hansal Mehta’s Scam 1992 and Madgaon Express, will display his six-pack abs in this new project.

In a recent interview with Indian Express, Gandhi shared that there is a particularly memorable scene in the film that allows him to exhibit his six-pack abs. He also discussed the rigorous regimen he followed to attain this physique, which included adhering to a water-only diet and enduring cramps.

How did Pratik Gandhi achieve the six-pack abs?

In discussing his physique and the dedication required to attain a well-defined body with abdominal muscles, Pratik remarked, "I have always had a similar body structure—perhaps not as distinctly defined, but fundamentally the same. Nevertheless, considerable effort was necessary to achieve this appearance for the film."

During this time, he had to maintain a protein-rich diet and work out regularly with minimum sleep. “I ate a lot of protein, worked out intensely, and barely got any sleep. I drank very little water and endured cramps—all for this body,” he said.

‘I only drank one litre of water a day’

The actor previously held the belief that he was distinct from his peers and would refrain from undertaking extreme measures to attain a sculpted physique for his roles. However, during the production of Dhoom Dhaam, he found himself compelled to do so. "I had come across numerous interviews with actors discussing the challenges they faced, but my perspective on fitness was quite different, leading me to think I would never engage in such practices. Yet, I ultimately found myself doing it," he remarked.

"In the four days leading up to the shoot, I restricted myself to just one liter of water per day, which included all forms of liquid intake such as tea and coffee. I also eliminated carbohydrates and salt entirely. The absence of carbs made me quite irritable, and I was merely counting down the moments until the sequence concluded so that I could rehydrate properly," the actor continued.

In addition to Yami Gautam and Pratik Gandhi, Dhoom Dhaam features Ajaz Khan. The film is scheduled for release on Netflix on February 14.
