He described the moment as feeling like ‘someone was closing the door on his dreams.’ In a heartfelt Instagram post, the Jealous artist opened up about his journey and mentioned how using diabetes patches from Dexcom G7 has been beneficial for him.

Nick shared a post on Instagram showcasing a photo of him lounging on a couch with a diabetes monitor patch on his arm. The post also included artwork that illustrated his journey—one piece showed a young Nick in the hospital, another captured him performing with his brothers in an arena, and there was a touching image of both young and older Nick reflecting on his future.

In the caption, the singer expressed, “When I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at 13, it felt like my dreams were being shut down. Now that I’m back on the Broadway stage, I wish I could tell my younger self that things will turn out even better than I ever thought possible.” He continued, “I have to manage my diabetes and achieve more than my 13-year-old self could have ever imagined.”

Priyanka Chopra shares her love

Nick's recent Instagram post received a lot of love from his followers, including his wife, Priyanka Chopra, who dropped a heart-eye emoji in the comments. One fan shared, “A little bit longer and I’ll be fine, proud of you.” Another commented, “Your younger self is cheering you on with every achievement.” Someone else added, “So proud of you! You’ve always been an inspiration.”

In other news, Nick Jonas has previously opened up about his diabetes diagnosis. In a 2023 post, he shared the symptoms he experienced that led to his diagnosis, which included frequent urination, extreme thirst, fatigue, and unexplained weight loss.

“I was fortunate to have an amazing support system that recognized these signs, encouraged me to get checked, and ultimately saved my life. As a new dad, I realize how crucial it is to be aware of these signs as my daughter grows,” Nick wrote.
