Actor Shraddha Arya, who welcomed twins—a son and a daughter—in November of the previous year, has recently provided her fans with insights into her journey as a new mother. Alongside the joy and excitement that comes with motherhood, Shraddha has candidly discussed her postpartum challenges, particularly her experience with significant hair loss.

Shraddha Arya opens up about postpartum struggles

Recently, Shraddha shared a heartfelt photograph on her Instagram story that highlights the reality of her postpartum struggles. The star of Kundali Bhagya posted an image that clearly illustrates the extent of her hair loss, conveying her concern and distress regarding this issue. She accompanied the photo with the caption, "It's Real #PostpartumHairfall," along with a crying emoticon.

In a 2023 interview with HT Lifestyle, Medha Singh, an aesthetician, cosmetologist, and CEO of Juvena Herbals Pvt. Ltd., stated, "The most prevalent issue faced by women after giving birth is hair loss. During pregnancy, a woman's hair tends to grow and new strands emerge, but postpartum, these hairs begin to fall out, which can lead to a depressive phase for many women. The hair loss experienced after pregnancy does not necessarily indicate permanent loss if the diet, nutrition, and sleep patterns during pregnancy are adequate. In addition to internal care, external care is also crucial."

“To mitigate hair loss, it is essential to keep the scalp hydrated. Although the human body is composed of 70% water, it primarily secretes oil, so we must provide external hydration to meet the body's needs.”

Shraddha embraces motherhood

In the meantime, Shraddha recently introduced her twins, Shaurya and Siya, through a delightful post. “Meet our two tiny Tornadoes, SHAURYA & SIYA. TWINS :), because life was too peaceful; one just wouldn’t be chaotic enough," she wrote while sharing the photo.

Last year, Shraddha, widely recognized for her role in Kundali Bhagya, and her husband Rahul Nagal welcomed twins—a son and a daughter. Shraddha celebrated this joyous occasion by posting a touching message on Instagram. Accompanying a photo of herself cradling her newborns, swathed in blue and pink blankets, she expressed, "Two little bundles of joy have made our family complete. Our Hearts Are Doubly Full!" The post featured Billie Eilish's song 'Everything I Wanted' playing in the background. Additionally, it showcased an array of blue and pink balloons inscribed with 'it's a boy' and 'it's a girl,' along with the birth date of her twins, November 29, 2024.

Shraddha and Rahul were married in 2021 in Delhi, with their wedding attended by her co-stars from Kundali Bhagya, including Anjum Fakih and Supriya Shukla, as well as Balika Vadhu actor Shashank Vyas, among others.
