Kriti Sanon attributes her radiant, well-hydrated skin to her morning skincare regimen. In a recent video, the actress outlined the straightforward steps she incorporates into her morning routine. Her regimen, which includes techniques such as ice-dunking and applying a detoxifying mask, as well as forgoing moisturizer and consistently using sunscreen, consists of seven intriguing steps.
In the video, she remarked, “My morning skincare is very, very simple, and I don't take too long [with it]. I don't do a mask every single day, but on special days when I feel like I want to detoxify my skin, I use one.” Take a look at her routine.
Step 1 - Ice dunking
Kriti Sanon starts her day with a glass of lukewarm lemon water. Following a thorough face wash and ensuring her hands are clean, the actress initiates her morning skincare regimen. The first step involves an ice dunking technique, which she regards as an often-overlooked skincare element. This practice not only soothes skin inflammation but also removes oil and impurities from the pores, effectively aiding her in waking up.
Step 2 - Detoxifying mask
When the actress has a morning shoot, she opts for detoxifying masks to rejuvenate her skin. Conversely, as her menstrual cycle approaches, she prefers a hydrating mask.
Step 3 - Undereye Patch
Following the second step, she applies an undereye patch. Kriti utilizes a green tea and caffeine-infused undereye mask, placing the patch directly over her mask and allowing both to remain on her skin for 15 minutes.
Step 4 - Homemade Toner
After gently removing the patches and mask with a clean, soft cloth and lukewarm water, Kriti applies a homemade toner made of glycerine and rose water to slightly dampen her face. “For those unfamiliar with glycerin, it is an often-overlooked product that hydrates the skin, retains moisture, and possesses antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties,” she explained.
Step 5 - Serum
Next, she applies a serum containing hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, and alpha arbutin to address uneven and pigmented skin, along with kakadu plum extract for vitamin C and aloe vera extract for hydration.
Step 6 - Sunscreen
Kriti mentioned that she prefers not to use a moisturizer before sunscreen, which is why she chose a sunscreen that provides both hydration and protection against sun damage. “With sunscreen, more is more, so do not hesitate to apply generously, ensuring coverage of your entire face, neck, and eyelids. Approximately 80 to 90 per cent of premature ageing is attributed to skin damage, so it is essential to apply sunscreen, whether indoors or outdoors,” she advised.
Step 7 - Lip Balm
The actress concludes her daily skincare regimen with a hydrating and glossy lip balm, which she carries with her at all times.
