Anushka Singh, a fitness trainer, consistently shares valuable tips and strategies related to fitness and weight loss on her Instagram account. A few months ago, she posted an informative reel featuring healthy meal substitutions that can facilitate quicker weight loss.

Anushka indicated that by implementing these healthy meal swaps, individuals could potentially lose 10 kilograms within a span of three months. Below are the recommended healthy alternatives provided by the fitness trainer:

Healthy alternatives for weight loss:

For breakfast: Rather than consuming a full serving of pasta, opt for a smaller portion accompanied by 50 grams of paneer.

When experiencing sugar cravings: Choose a protein bar in place of milk chocolate.

For lunch: Instead of solely having daal and quinoa, incorporate paneer into your meal.

Post-workout meal: Replace a milkshake with a protein shake for enhanced results.

To manage minor hunger: Instead of aloo bhujia, consider puffed rice mixed with bhujia.

Evening snacks: For a nutritious evening snack, enjoy a bowl of makhana rather than a packet of salted biscuits.

Pre-workout meal: Select two rice cakes with peanut butter instead of two slices of bread with peanut butter.

In a previous interview with HT Lifestyle, Ayurveda expert Dr. Dixa Bhavsar discussed additional healthy swaps that can accelerate weight loss.

Dr. Bhavsar stated, “If you are using white sugar in your daily cup of tea, lemonade, or desserts, it is not beneficial. White sugar provides empty calories, whereas jaggery is rich in nutrients. Drinking warm water can stimulate your digestive fire (agni) and maintain optimal function. It also enhances metabolism, as it is easier to digest than cold water. Consuming whole fruits is preferable to fruit juices, as the latter lacks fiber and encourages overconsumption. Chewing fruits initiates digestion in the mouth and preserves the fiber, allowing for more controlled intake.”
