Nine behaviors women should avoid to effectively lose lower belly fat include:
1. Skipping meals, particularly breakfast.
2. Focusing solely on cardio exercises without incorporating weightlifting.
3. Lacking awareness of their protein intake, often consuming it through bars or powders, while being unaware of their total daily caloric consumption.
4. Indulging in one to three glasses of wine, which disrupts sleep and hinders fat loss.
5. Maintaining a healthy diet only from Monday to Thursday and then overindulging on weekends.
6. Failing to include fruits and vegetables in their meals.
7. Living in a constant state of stress, frequently agreeing to commitments when they should decline, and not managing stress effectively.
8. Getting less than seven hours of sleep each night.
9. Walking fewer than 5,000 steps daily, contributing to a sedentary lifestyle.
Vimal urged women to eliminate these habits and emphasized that to lose fat, particularly around the belly and hips, it is essential to maintain a calorie deficit and ensure a minimum intake of 100 grams of protein each day.
What holds women back in their fat loss journey?
“Improvising with your nutrition leads to ongoing frustration and lack of results. We cannot alternate between dieting during the week and indulging on weekends. Additionally, building muscle is crucial for achieving a lean physique. The neglect of strength training is a significant barrier for many women,” she stated.
Finally, she clarified that although spot reduction is not achievable during weight loss, individuals can make strides by learning how to create a balanced plate using whole foods to reach their goals.
