Vidya Balan opened up about her significant weight loss in an October interview with Galatta India. She shared that she shed a considerable amount of weight this year by following an anti-inflammatory diet and skipping exercise. Recently, Shikha Singh, a nutritionist known for her weight loss programs, posted on Instagram her anti-inflammatory diet plan aimed at helping people "lose 20 kg quickly," drawing inspiration from Vidya Balan and other celebrities.

An anti-inflammatory diet for shedding pounds.

Shikha mentioned in a video, "A lot of celebrities are jumping on the anti-inflammatory diet bandwagon for weight loss. But do you really understand how inflammation impacts our weight and how this type of diet can help us lose those extra kilos?"

She continued, “If your meals are packed with processed foods, sugar, and alcohol, or if you smoke, deal with stress, don’t get enough sleep, or have hormonal issues, your body might be dealing with inflammation. This can cause your body to produce inflammatory chemicals called cytokines, which mess with how insulin and leptin work—both of which are key in regulating sugar levels and hunger. When this happens, it can lead to increased fat storage and significant weight gain.”

She went ahead and shared her anti-inflammatory diet plan aimed at losing fat:

Morning drink

7:00 am - 7:30 am: Enjoy some turmeric tea along with 2 soaked walnuts.

Breakfast

8:00 am - 8:30 am: Multigrain millet flatbread + leafy greens + green tea

Mid-morning snack

1. 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM: Grab either an orange or an apple.

Lunch

1. 1 pm-2 pm: A moong dal salad packed with a variety of veggies.

Evening snack

1. 4 to 5 PM: Enjoy some black coffee with roasted chana.

Dinner

6 pm-7 pm: Enjoy some tomato soup along with 50 grams of low-fat paneer or tofu.
