I abstain from alcohol and have never tasted non-vegetarian dishes. I attribute my robust health to my Punjabi heritage, which I inherited from my parents. My father was exceptionally strong." Sonu highlighted his straightforward yet disciplined approach to nutrition. Reflecting on his early years, he nostalgically recounted consuming an entire loaf of bread with a generous amount of butter daily. He also mentioned that milk was a fundamental part of his diet: "I would tear the corner of the milk packet and drink it directly."

Although he has tried protein powder, he firmly rejects the use of any supplements or steroids. He expressed confidence in his ability to sustain himself on dal and rice indefinitely. The actor also mentioned that while makki ki roti is a rare treat, chapatis have been entirely eliminated from his diet.

He underscored the significance of discipline and consistency in adhering to his routine. Regarding his diet, his breakfast exemplifies his clean and balanced philosophy, consisting of an egg-white omelette, avocado, sautéed vegetables, and papaya.
