In In a video shared online, Pravasthi asserts that although she won Star Maa’s Super Singer in 2024, she chose to enter the Padutha Theeyaga Silver Jubilee this year to gain greater exposure. She also mentions that her experience on the show was markedly different when SP Balasubrahmanyam was still alive.

Addressing Sunitha, she remarked, “Sunitha garu always appeared displeased whenever I took the stage. She even spoke negatively about my talent to Keeravaani garu. At that moment, I had my earpiece in, and she was unaware of it.” Pravasthi further noted that lyricist Chandrabose initially expressed support for her but later changed his stance.

Regarding music composer MM Keeravaani, Pravasthi expressed that she was hurt by certain remarks made during the show that she believed were directed at her. “He showed a clear preference for melodies and his own compositions. After my elimination, he looked at me and remarked on his aversion to singers who perform at weddings. Everyone present knows that I do this to support myself financially. He also referred to the singers working for him as ‘chakiri’ (a colloquial term for job), which felt inappropriate.”

Pravasthi says her self-esteem has taken a hit

Pravasthi She also mentioned that despite being advised against creating the video, she feels there is no longer any opportunity for her to sustain a career in the industry and wishes that others do not endure similar experiences. "They made me feel insignificant and made jokes about my appearance. I was taken aback by their behavior, especially since I have been part of many singing competitions. The production team frequently pressured me to wear sarees in a way that revealed my navel. The costume designer even bluntly told me that he couldn't provide me with better outfits due to my body shape. This has significantly affected my self-esteem and confidence."

The young vocalist informed Big TV that Sunitha referred to her mother using the informal term ‘nuvvu’ instead of the more respectful ‘meeru,’ which she found disrespectful. Additionally, she claimed that the show was scripted, with last-minute alterations to songs made to influence certain eliminations. Pravasthi further shared with ABN Telugu that when her mother attempted to remove her from the stage due to her dissatisfaction with the proceedings, host SP Charan, the son of SPB, insisted that she could not leave until they permitted her to do so and pulled on her hand.

Facing bullying for exposing Sunitha and others

After Pravasthi shared videos in which she responded to accusations that her outcry was merely a reaction to her elimination from the show. She stated, “I am not acting out because I was eliminated. I have been eliminated from other reality shows before, but I have never caused a scene. The reason I am speaking up now is that I believe I was treated unjustly.”

In a subsequent post on her Instagram stories, she urged fans of Sunitha to refrain from their aggressive behavior. Her message conveyed, “To all the fan accounts of Sunitha garu who are bullying and threatening me, please stop treating celebrities as if they are gods. They are human beings just like you and me.”
