Thandel has achieved remarkable success at the box office, quickly establishing itself as a commercial triumph within just one week of its release. Recently, the production team organized a special press event, which was attended by the esteemed Akkineni Nagarjuna, who shared heartfelt insights regarding the film, his son's performance, and its financial success.

During the event, Nagarjuna commended director Chandoo Mondeti for effectively showcasing Naga Chaitanya's acting abilities in Thandel. He also expressed appreciation for the thoughtfully crafted scenes that Chandoo wrote specifically for his son.

Regarding Naga Chaitanya's performance, Nagarjuna remarked, "I was completely taken aback by Chay's portrayal in the film. The climax, in particular—crafting a scene of that calibre and delivering it so poignantly is truly impressive and highlights Chandoo's exceptional skill."

Additionally, the star recognized Devi Sri Prasad (DSP) for his contributions to the film's music, emphasizing that the background score served as a pivotal element of the film's success.

Naga Chaitanya portrayed the character of a fisherman, and his on-screen chemistry with Sai Pallavi was remarkable. Nagarjuna remarked, "Whatever Sai Pallavi does is simply outstanding—the way she dances and acts—there is always something unique about her in every film, and in Thandel, she was exceptional."

The most significant praise of the evening was when Nagarjuna drew a comparison between his son and his late, iconic father, Akkineni Nageswara Rao (ANR).

"There are numerous scenes where Chay delivered an outstanding performance, and on many occasions, my father, ANR, came to mind. It was a truly unforgettable performance from him at such a young age," he expressed.

Thandel has achieved a net revenue exceeding Rs 50 crore and is projected to exceed Rs 100 crore in gross earnings by the week's conclusion. Nagarjuna wrapped up the event by declaring that this marks merely the inception of the Naga Chaitanya era, with even greater accomplishments on the horizon.

Producer Allu Aravind commended the team, noting that Naga Chaitanya has delivered one of his finest performances thus far. It remains to be seen how much further the film will generate at the box office.
