Ibrahim Ali Khan, the offspring of actors Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh, is poised to make his acting debut in the Netflix film Nadaaniyan. This romantic drama features Khushi Kapoor in a leading role alongside him. On Tuesday, both actors released a promotional video for the film, generating excitement for the upcoming teaser and release date announcements. However, their intentionally exaggerated performances in the video drew criticism from some online viewers, who found it to be quite cringeworthy.

On the same day, Khushi shared a video on Instagram Reels depicting an enthusiastic Ibrahim attempting to approach her, only to be rebuffed as the shoot had concluded. This interaction left Ibrahim visibly upset. "Clearly his #Galatfehmi," Khushi captioned the post, cleverly referencing Galatfehmi, a song featured in their film.

The video gained significant traction online and was shared on Reddit under the title: "Ibrahim and Khushi. What type of promotion is this?" The most popular response to the inquiry was, "The cringe kind." Many users echoed this sentiment, contending that the actors were not enhancing their reputations with the promotional Reel. One commenter questioned, "Who is their intended audience? The youth will completely dismiss this upon witnessing the cringeworthy promotions! Will the specific group of TikTok users, who previously engaged with and enjoyed such videos featuring off-putting expressions, appreciate this film? I doubt it." 

Another user remarked, "This is an entirely new level of poor quality. Additionally, Ibrahim's appeal seems to be diminishing with each passing day." Critiquing the offspring of celebrities and their perceived lack of skill, one commenter stated, "The standards for these nepo kids continue to decline daily."

Numerous individuals have commented on the necessity for improved social media management teams and advisors. One observation noted, "It is amusing that these individuals have access to some of the finest resources available in the industry yet appear unable to utilize them effectively." A more critical evaluation stated, "They should dismiss everyone responsible for these suggestions."

Nadaaniyan features performances by Mahima Chaudhary, Suniel Shetty, Dia Mirza, and Jugal Hansraj. The film is produced by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Somen Mishra under the Dharmatic Entertainment label. This project will also serve as the directorial debut for Shauna Gautam, who previously worked as an assistant director to Karan Johar on Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani.
